Banjara Hills Project

An oasis of grey|A bedroom sanctuary soaked in grey|A gorgeously grey space

For us at Builtiful, envisaging the design vision of the architects and creating soothing and elegant interiors is imperative. We were asked to execute this beautifully designed space with a quirky yet dynamic colour combination. Considering that the clients were ready to go all out in terms of an unconventional palette and look, Ameet Mirpuri, Principal Architect of Design Studio, decided to play around with textures and use finishes that would create interesting patterns.

Becker Engineered Wood /Ribbed Pine Ext has been used on the wall to anchor the neutral decor. The horizontal accents on the wall offset vertical panels of the flooring. The bedroom’s focal point is the bed, which has a natural grey shade of PU polish. Its headboard is tufted for comfort, while a half accent wall beyond it lends an artistic dimension to this space. A recessed backlight completes the look. Flanking the bed is an Oyster grey stone pillar with subtle detailing that brings elegance to the area. Bedside tables finished in Greenlam 504 TXN Earthy Elite Laminate add functionality and enhance visual lightness. The Bed rook wall is finished in beige lime plaster. The wall opposite the bed celebrates a textured warm medium grey with a floating study table and shelving unit.

Recessed and spotlights illuminate the space and create a soothing ambience. A dark and moody walk-in wardrobe abuts the bedroom, juxtaposed by beige flooring. It features glass shutters that reflect light and make the space seem bigger. A touch of colour is added using Argile Cotto in the basin’s backsplash and one part of the bathroom. The rest of the area features End Beige tiles on the wall and floors. Glass partitions segregate the zones and help maintain visual continuity.
